Located near the bridge over Oude IJssel. From the 14th century onwards, there is mention of watermills that belonged to the property of the Lordship of Keppel. The castle of the same name and the settlement are located on an island formed by the Oude IJssel and the strang Molenbeek. The strang supplied the water for the mill. Later, the water flowed through a supply line to the wheel. The mill was in use until 1945. The mill chamber located below the watermill is kept at a level 1.5 m lower than the river by means of a small polder mill from Friesland. Admission to the mills is free. Info at the miller (0314) 38 10 80.
