At the foot of the old sea dike lies the Jewish cemetery 'Teakesyl', very beautifully. Dozens of old gravestones remind us of the time when this cemetery was in use. A commemorative plaque prompts visitors to reflect on the war period from 1940 to 1945, when three Jewish residents of Lemmer were also deported and killed in Auschwitz.

The Jewish cemetery 'Teakesyl' is located at the bottom of the IJsselmeer dike near Tacozijl, east of Lemmer.
The cemetery is freely accessible.
