The Maagd Maria Kerk is the actual name of this church in Lienden. The parish of Lienden was founded at the end of the 11th century. The first Reformed minister came in 1582. The current church building, like the tower, dates from the 15th century. In the choir of the church there are murals from the same period. The last restoration was done around 1980. On the same square, opposite the church, is the former presbytery, a beautiful white plastered farmhouse.
