De Aker is a district in the district of Amsterdam Nieuw-West in the province of North Holland and makes up part of Osdorp. The name comes from the polder "Middelveldsche Akerpolder". The district is bordered by the Zwarte Pad, the Wijsentkade, the Bonhoeffer and the Bloemengartensingel, as well as part of the Osdorperweg and the Frankfurthersingel. On 1 January 2020, De Aker had a population of 10,495, of which 4,570 lived in De Aker-West and 5,925 in De Aker-Oost.
