Emmen is a railway station located in Emmen, The Netherlands, and was opened on 1 November 1905. The station is located northeast of the city centre, at the current end of the Zwolle - Emmen railway line. In the past, this line continued to Stadskanaal and then via Zuidbroek to Delfzijl. In 1987, the Zwolle-Emmen railway line was electrified.
The original station building was one of the standard stations of the Noordoosterlocaalspoorweg-Maatschappij, designed by the architect Eduard Cuypers. In 1965 it was demolished because it had become ineffective and its structural condition was judged to be deplorable. In the same year, a new station building designed by architect Cees Douma was opened. There was a plan to move the station towards the center but that did not go through. On July 4, 2005, the ticket office in the station was closed, the restaurant remained open. Eventually, the restaurant made way for a kiosk that opened in July 2008.
