The Limitische Heide is a nature reserve of the Goois Nature Reserve north of the Naarderstraat between Naarden and Huizen.The area consists mainly of heathland with here and there small drifting dunes and scattered storage of wood crops with deciduous and coniferous forest at the edges. The Limitische Heide is located on the edge of the former Naarden desanding area. The name arose because the Limit sand could be extracted during the many sand excavations up to a border. The heath has become partly overgrown with trees over the years. To combat this reforestation and grazing, seasonal grazing is used.
