In 's-Hertogenbosch, the Dommel, the Aa, and the Zuid-Willemsvaart converge, after which they continue as the Dieze. Around the Dieze estuary, you'll find a magnificent natural landscape. The nature park used to be part of the inundation fields surrounding the fortified city. In the park, you can see the French wheels.
Today, the park is the ideal location for walking, cycling, and picnicking. You can discover some special animal species there. For instance, you might see a grazing herd of red geese and some Konik horses. The latter species is a bit shy of humans, so it’s best to admire them from a distance. Access to the Dieze estuary is via Orthen, the Engelsedijk, and the Kerkhoekweg.
