Hedel Castle or Heel Castle was a castle in Hedel, now located in the municipality of Maasdriel, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The foundations of the castle have been restored; the rest is gone.
The oldest part of the castle, the keep with moat, was built before 1336. Somewhere around 1400 it must have been expanded into a castle through walls, towers and moat. The first Hedel lords probably all Brabanders, but Hedel does have to deal with the battle between the Duchy of Brabant and the County of Guelders and is actually in a kind of no man's land. From the castle, shipping across the Meuse could be controlled, which led to many frictions with 's-Hertogenbosch. From 1336 the castle is loaned to Guelders, but from 1378 it is an allodial possession.
