The water tower in Dirksland, also known as the water tower of Sommelsdijk on Goeree-Overflakkee, in the Dutch province of South Holland, was built between 1939 and 1941. The construction took two years, which was due to World War II and the harsh winter.
The water tower has a height of 62.50 meters and was designed by architect J. Gerber in the style of the Delft School. This tower was for a long time the tallest water tower in the Netherlands until a 65-meter water tower was built in Emmeloord in 1958. The tower has a storage capacity of 575 m³.
