Arneplaat is an island located opposite the Zeeland town of Veere. The island is mostly covered with forest today and consists partially of pasture land. The island is owned by the Society for Nature Monuments, which manages the island. The management of the water is under the responsibility of the Water Board Scheldestromen. Like the Zeeland Islands Mosselplaat, Goudplaat, Haringvreter, and Aardbeieneiland, the island is uninhabited and freely accessible for recreation. In 2011, the water board built new docks. As a result, ships with a heavier draft can now also moor.
