The Soesterduinen were used as a filming location in the science-fiction series Arcadia. Director Tim Oliehoek: "We had permission to film here for two days, but because the weather was beautiful, everyone suddenly wanted to come and sunbathe in the dunes. All those visitors who were having a nice picnic or walking their dog, we had to digitally erase afterwards."
