The National Dachau Monument is a Dutch memorial for the Dutch victims of the Dachau concentration camp. It is located in the Amsterdamse Bos, opposite the former grandstand of the Bosbaan, and is an initiative of the Dutch Dachau Committee.
The monument was designed by visual artist Niek Kemps and consists of a pathway made of Belgian blue stone, 60 meters long and 2.35 meters wide, bordered by a yew hedge. The pathway is uneven, symbolizing that the prisoners had to walk in mismatched footwear. The names of 500 concentration camps and subcamps are engraved in the blue stone.
