The Lekkanaal is a canal in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The canal is just under four kilometers long and connects the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal with the Lek. It lies east of the Merwede Canal and the residential neighborhoods of Nieuwegein. Just over a kilometer north of the junction with the Lek are the Princess Beatrix locks. This lock complex and the canal were officially opened on August 4, 1938, and put into use on August 5.
