Zandwacht is an artwork located on the Dutch coast at the Maasvlakte beach by the Second Maasvlakte, designed by the artist collective Observatorium. The sculpture has a surface area of 20 by 40 meters and a height of 12 meters, and is made of extra strong sand-colored concrete. The sculpture was funded by Boskalis, Van Oord, and the Port of Rotterdam Authority on behalf of the Port Authority. The realization of the artwork marked the completion of the construction at Maasvlakte 2.
