The sawn-through bunker, also known as Bunker 599 and Group Shelter 599, is a public attraction for visitors to the Diefdijk Line. It is located on the Diefdijk in the municipality of Culemborg. The object is a group shelter, built in 1940. The bunker is visible from the A2 motorway and is accessible to visitors. The bunker was divided in two in 2010 by sawing and removing a piece of about one meter wide. This is part of the government project "Molenkade". The sawing took four weeks. A staircase has been made; It leads from the dike to a path that runs through the bunker to the water. There are poles in the water along the path that indicate the water height if the land were to be flooded.
