The Winsumerdiep is a canal of the Boterdiep near Onderdendam that runs through the village of Winsum to the Reitdiep near Schaphalsterzijl. It is a remnant of the Delf.
The gently meandering course is a result of the tidal effects from the time when the Reitdiep was still in open connection with the sea. In 1877, the Reitdiep was closed off.
