Description

For many years, a bakery has been located on the corner of Middenlaan and Zuiderlaan. During the Second World War, baker Schutte lived here, who was very active in the resistance against the Germans, by helping Jewish fellow citizens, distributing ration coupons and illegal leaflets. In the 60s and 70s, the Thunnissen bakery was located here. This building is now home to 'Ma Baker'. This photo is from 1965.
