The Koornmolengat is a small nature reserve that is located along the Rotte north of the Dutch city of Rotterdam. It consists of trouser forest, peat bog and three open puddles. The area developed from a peat lake, which arose after wet dyeing in the 16th century. In the 18th century, the area remained outside the reclamation of the adjacent Tweemanspolder because it remained within the bosom of the Rotte and was separated from the polder by a dike. As a result, the Koornmolengat has never been deveined or dewatered. It has its own water level of NAP -1.90m, while the level in the Tweemanspolder can be lowered to -6.00m.
