Heemtuin Rucphen is a Brabant nature and landscape garden, with native, wild flora and fauna. With 400 species of wild flowers, the Heemtuin Rucphen is one of the most beautiful wild flower gardens in the Netherlands and Flanders.
The Heemtuin Rucphen is 2 hectares in size and designed around nineteen habitats, which are based on the Brabant nature that still occurred regularly around the fifties. This means that the Heemtuin Rucphen meets the original idea of a Heemtuin by Jac. P. Shawn . Namely, giving "insight into communities of life" by creating an "educational park close to the people". However, the Heemtuin Rucphen was not founded from an educational, but from a social objective.
