The existence of a farm at this location dates back to 1466. At that time, the farm was owned by Jan van Croonenborgh. The place name Kronenberg is derived from this farm.
During World War II, there was a hiding camp in the Kronenberger forests. Near the Kronenbergerhof, there is a memorial stone, named "Oranje Vrijstaat," which commemorates the resistance activities in and around the farm.
In recent years, the farm has operated successively as the restaurant "Kronenbergerhof," "Nieuw Kronenbergerhof," and
Hof van Kronenberg.
