The Vlietmolen is a seesaw mill on the Zederikkade in Lexmond in the Dutch municipality of Zederik. It was built for the drainage of the Lakerveld polder. The mill pumped it together with the Bonkmolen and the disappeared Lekkersche Molen' and the also disappeared "Rode of Overtogtmolen. The Vlietmolen was in operation until 1986. Jan van Wijk was the last miller employed by the polder and has maintained this task for more than 60 years.
On November 1, 1997, a fire broke out in the mill as a result of a malfunctioning flue. This caused major damage to the Vlietmolen. From 2001 to 2002 the mill was completely restored. At the end of 2005, the underwheel broke down as a result of damage from the extinguishing and rainwater. November 10, 2011 the mill was able to water again. The lower wheel has been completely renewed except for the cross axle. The mill knocks out the water using a paddle wheel with a diameter of 5.62 meters and a width of 41 cm. The Vlietmolen, which has been owned by the SIMAV since 1972, is inhabited and can only be visited by appointment.
