Here, hidden deep in the hillside forests of the Geul valley, lies a former marl quarry. For about 80 years, millions of tons of marl were mined here. In 2009, the quarry was given the status of a nature reserve. Nature has seized its opportunities, and the quarry is home to a number of very special plant and animal species due to the different climate. New opportunities for nature and a spectacular experience for the hiker.
