Land van Kalk is the plateau of Kunrader stone that runs from Aachen via Bocholtz to Voerendaal and the outskirts of Heerlen. This Kunrader stone is a rich breeding ground for fruit trees and vineyards, for example.
It is a sustainable and natural building product that was already used by the Romans and can still be found in traditional and modern buildings throughout the area.
It forms a habitat for special plants and animals in one of South Limburg's most beautiful nature reserves. Here you can still experience real silence, while you can look out over a breathtaking landscape for miles.
The Land van Kalk Cooperative cordially invites you to come and explore the area. By steam train, walking, cycling or with a picnic basket full of local products in the grass: the Land of Lime is there to be discovered.
