Vineyard Mheerelindje

This vineyard is operated by Wijndomein Mergelsberg. The vineyard is situated on a southern slope of the Noordal, near the Panoorama apartment complex, halfway up the Mheerelindje slope. The view is breathtaking, the subsoil contains limestone from the Gulpen formation, about 68 million years old.
In 2012, the noble varieties Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon were planted, with a total of about 750 vines. The vineyard is worked mechanically, pruning and harvesting is done manually. Both a red wine, Pinot Noir (a cuvée of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) and a white wine, Sauvignon Blanc, are produced. The red wine is characterized by fine tannins, it is a full-bodied and characterful red wine. The Sauvignon Blanc is a dry white wine with typical Sauvignon Blanc characteristics such as a floral scent and a fresh and full-bodied taste.

The yield of the vineyard is about 1,000 bottles.
