From the starting point in Doorn you start directly with the first ascent to the Sun Hill. From the south it is 1800 meters long and the last km (Amersfoortseweg) rises by an average of 3%. You will cover a total of 43 altimeters.
The hill, which used to be used by the Germans as a sun sacrifice site, is located north of Doorn and southwest of Maarn and is part of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug moraine.
