If you go through the gate and walk up the long staircase (149 steps) you will arrive at the viewpoint above the Papenberg. Here you will be rewarded with a beautiful distant view. At the bottom right you can see football fields and the lower polder area, while on your right you can see the high dunes. Did you know that this is a wet area and that dune riots have been dug since ancient times to ensure that you don't get your feet wet?
