The Boschkreek, somewhat hidden among the reeds, acts as a magnet for walkers. For a long time, this freshwater creek was used by flax retting facilities. After a cleanup, the creek has extremely clear water, and there are coots, water lilies, and the migrating raft. The Boschkreek is likely a remnant of inundations (flooding an area to fend off the enemy) during the Eighty Years' War. It was inevitable: even this gem in the landscape has a war story attached to it.
