Single-track bridge over the Aa. Built by order of the Noord-Brabantsch-Duitsche Spoorweg Maatschappij, around 1875.
The bridge was part of the train connection between Germany and Rotterdam and ran via Veghel to Goch.
The beam bridge consists of composite continuous iron girders with riveted full-wall girders. The beams rest on the rectangular abutments and an elongated pillar with rounded ends in the middle of the water. The abutments and pillar are made of hand-formed brick. The abutments have concrete frames, the pillar in the middle is equipped with natural stone profiled cover plates. A single track has been laid over the bridge.
The bridge was of public interest. It has cultural-historical value as an expression of a typological and economic development, namely the opening up of North Brabant and the development of rail connections between Rotterdam and the German hinterland.
