Description

This hillside forest towers above the city of Heerlen and offers beautiful views if you climb the steep paths. It's a quiet, almost undiscovered
Nature reserve where birds of prey such as buzzards and owls feel completely at home. Bats and roe deer are also among the inhabitants of the Imstenraderbos.
As a hiker, you are surrounded by giants of trees. The oaks and beeches that grow here are often on a slope and therefore have to be extra high
reach. According to the forester, they could be the tallest beech trees in the country.
