Description

The valley of the Norwegian is wooded and full of calcareous springs. Wet and dry alternate, making the Noordal a particularly species-rich area. Residents
are the rare midwife toad and a herd of Glanrunderen, an old breed that was recently reintroduced.
The Noordal is adjacent to the Altenbroek nature reserve in Belgium. Here, too, the Norwegian flows and welling springs provide special flora and fauna. The area
is known for its many species of mushrooms and the stag beetle. In the evening and at night, this is the domain of deer, foxes and wild boar.
