This stop on the railway line (1847) Amsterdam - Utrecht - Arnhem was opened on September 1, 1932 and closed on May 15, 1938. The train ticket had to be bought from the conductor, because there was no ticket office here. A waiting room for visitors to the pyramid of Austerlitz, 31/2 km away, was only realized after a few heavy rain showers. The platforms were directly opposite each other to the west of the current viaduct. At that time, the railway line and the Traaij, the road between Driebergen and Austerlitz, still crossed at ground level.
