In the Ooijpolder, this lookout tower has been realized by Staatsbosbeheer. The tower is located in Nature Reserve the Groenlanden on top of a so-called old Defense dike. The dike is now called Langstraat. On the north side, you look out over the former brick factory site the Groenlanden with beautiful scrubland, nesting storks, and grazing koniks and galloways. On the south side, you look out over the wet part of the Groenlanden. In April and October, the lookout tower is a good place to see foraging whimbrels. Throughout the year, badgers, hares, rabbits, and foxes can be seen on the land on the north side of the lookout tower at twilight.
