The town hall of Heerlen is the serving municipal office of the municipality of Heerlen and is a national monument. The town hall of Heerlen is designed by architect Peutz and was built between 1936 and 1942.
At the back, on Geleenstraat, the old town hall was located until the completion of the current complex. This building continued to function as a town hall until 1941, due to delays in the construction of the new town hall caused by the outbreak of the war.
In 2015, the municipality decided to purchase and demolish the adjacent city office on Geleenstraat. The new city office is to become a more open building that better fits with the town hall.
