Herperduin lookout tower
Part of "Beautiful circular walk through the Herperduin along fens, heathland, play forest and a watchtower".
The Herperduin is a beautiful area to explore. The area consists largely of coniferous forest and small zones with heathland, drifting sand and fens. The walk starts from an easily accessible parking lot opposite a catering facility. Almost at the beginning of the walk we walk through a play forest, a place where the kids can stroll, climb, clamber, build huts, play with water, get dirty or play adventurously!
Immediately after the play forest we see the watchtower. The lookout tower consists of 7 staircases of 16 steps each. At the top, you can look over the Herper dune from a height of about 24 meters.
