The Herperduin is a beautiful area to explore. The area consists largely of coniferous forest and small zones with heathland, drifting sand and fens. The walk starts from an easily accessible parking lot opposite a catering facility. Almost at the beginning of the walk we walk through a play forest, a place where the kids can stroll, climb, clamber, build huts, play with water, get dirty or play adventurously!

After the visit to the watchtower, we walk through drifting sand and heathland towards the Klompven.

The Klompven is an artificial fen, which was dug as a recreational lake by sand extraction for the construction of the A50 motorway. Het Klompven and its beaches are used as swimming water and recreation in the summer months. There is a beautiful sandy beach near the clog and we find many benches to rest or to enjoy the view.
