The Mauvezand is a nature reserve of the Goois Nature Reserve in Blaricum. The area is for the most part in Blaricum and a small part in Laren and east of the Torenlaan. The area is named after painter Anton Mauve, after whom the nearby street was also named.
The open terrain of about 19 ha consists of wooded heaths and drifting sand. The nickname "Hondehei" says something about the use of the grounds. In a formerly wet area with heath, the Mauve pond has been excavated. The pond is also called The hut of Mie. Until 1961 there was a hut of Mie Rigter with her husband Toon Schaapherder and seven children.
