Onderdijk is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is located between the city of Medemblik and the village of Wervershoof and has 1729 inhabitants. The origins of the village can be traced back to the Middle Ages. The place arose as a small nucleus that lay at the bottom of the Zuiderzeedijk, at first only on the west side. At one point, a strip of land outside the dikes was reclaimed. The new sea dike was now the wakerdijk, so that the original dike became the sleeper dike. The polder was called the Nes and used for horticulture.
