Description

The last tenant of this farm is the namesake of this charming building with a curly façade. This monumental square farm is located along the main road through Houthem, right in front of the estate of Château St. Gerlach to which it now belongs.
Previously, it was the tenant farm of
the monastery. The white façade reads '1668', which is probably a year of renovation, as recent research showed that the farmhouse still had a predecessor from the sixteenth century.
The stable and the entrance gate are from the 18th century, but now you can walk right through them for a coffee break or lunch at Burgemeester Quicx, coffee & more, part of the Oostwegel Collection.
