Boekesteyn is a very varied estate. It consists of a country house and a large, varied park forest with meadows, ponds and watercourses. Boeke is an old word for beech. As on other estates, there are also many beech avenues here.
They were once two country estates. The current southern part was called Brambergen. The farm of the same name still stands and is one of the oldest buildings in 's Graveland. The visitor centre Natuurmonumenten is built against it. The difference can still be seen in the landscape. The south side consists mainly of grazed meadow and a flower meadow. The flower meadow is particularly colorful and insect-rich from spring to summer. The north side consists of park forest. A pleasant winding path runs on the border of these areas.
At the visitor center there is a separate outlet, also called Brambergen.
There is a large parking lot, also for cyclists.
Next to the visitor center is a play forest (only open if visitor center is open) and a playground.
