Description

Villa Klondike was the headquarters of Colonel Howard R. Johnson during Operation Market Garden. He led his troops from this house. The emblem of the 101st Airborne Division is affixed to the villa. The name Klondike is affixed to the entrance gate and a plaque is attached to the front door. Klondike was the code name of the 501st regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.
