Here you can see where the departure point of the tram to Walsoorden was. The track (with a width of 1000 mm) ran via the city centre of Hulst, Rustwat, Terhole, Hoefkensdijk, Kuitaart, Kloosterzande to Walsoorden. N.V. Stoomtram Hulst-Walsoorden was founded on 18 February 1902. However, the operation of the line did not start until 15 Dec 1902 and was extended to the port of Walsoorden in 1903. Both goods and people could be transported to the "other side". In this way, they had a further connection with the Netherlands. In 1940 there was a branch from Kloosterzande to Perkpolder. In 1918 the line became part of the ZVTM (Zeeuwsch-Vlaamsche Tramweg-Maatschappij). On 1 February 1934, passenger transport was discontinued. In 1949, freight traffic was also halted and the line was dismantled.
