Description

Three-metre-high memorial column that reminds the residents of Ooststellingwerf of their regained freedom. On the column are 2 poems in Stellingwerfs by the locally known Stellingwerver poet H.J. Bergveld. The memorial was designed by Piet Keuning, Jos Mosselveld and Kees Hoogendam. The monument was placed here in 1985 in front of the former town hall.
