Tree garden d'n Hooidonk

Tree garden (also called arboretum) "d'n Hooidonk" is a relatively young tree garden.

New species or varieties are mainly planted, also to get more variety in the tree stock.

The name plates next to the trees state the name and the year of planting, so that we can keep a close eye on the development per year, especially in terms of: winter hardiness, greening of the breeding, wind resistance, rooting, etc.

There are also signs with text at the trees and shrubs, currently 60 of them, where we honor people who "do good" or "have done well"! For example, people who mean a lot to sick or lonely people or those who go through life with sadness, to give them a listening ear. But also, for example, a partner who sometimes continues to cherish love for years, even with a sometimes long-term serious limitation of "his love"! These are just a few examples of people who deserve a compliment for this and who also get it here!

We hope that those who read these signs here will be inspired to refresh their way of thinking, for the benefit of the other!

As far as we are concerned, even the trees that are here now are being subordinated to what we are trying to propagate! Could this have been the intention all along?
