33m high lookout tower in the shape of a pine trunk with lookout platforms as branches. Located on the Bosberg, the highest point of the Frisian mainland. Tickets can be purchased at www.debosbergtoren.nl.
In the tower is a steel staircase, or you can take the elevator. At the top you will find a fantastic view! In clear weather you can see Leeuwarden, Stadskanaal and Coevorden. You reach this tower via a sandy path with stairs from the Bosbergweg or via a paved sloping path from the Boerestreek, is also accessible with a wheelchair. The opening hours vary with the season.
