About 100 meters east of the viewpoint Kale Jacob lies a Koch bunker from the end of World War II. The wall of the bunker consists of a type of brick well ring. On top of that lies a concrete "manhole cover" with a small opening. Through this opening, a periscope could be inserted. This bunker was therefore not a shooting pit but a bunker to monitor the surroundings. The bunker was part of the Beek-Riegel, a German defensive line.
