The Blaricummerheide consists of an open heath landscape with a sand excavation in the middle, the edges of which are covered with pine forest.
The area is known for the schaapskooi; the home of one of the flocks of Drenthe heath sheep, which help keep the heath landscape open and prevent it from becoming overgrown. Every Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, nature guides from IVN are present here, eager to share more about the nature of Gooise.
