The Luihuis is a bell tower located in front of the church. Although there used to be more of such bell towers in North Brabant, most of them have disappeared, making this one unique. It consists of an oak wooden frame, which is enclosed with a brick wall and planks, and topped with a slate-covered roof. In 1648, after the 80 Years' War, the Catholics had to relinquish the church to the Reformed for 150 years. Two years later, the tower collapsed and was not rebuilt.
