Saint Agatha Monastery

As one approaches the village of Sint Agatha (municipality of Cuijk), the monastery can be seen from afar. It has been continuously inhabited by the Canons Regular since 1371. Since November 2020, there are also laypeople living in the monastery. Since 2006, the monastery has provided space for the Heritage Center for Dutch Monastic Life, which assembles exhibitions from its collection.
Heritage Center for Dutch Monastic Life In the heritage center, over 100 orders and congregations from all over the Netherlands bring together their heritage: archives, publications, historical artifacts, and audiovisual materials. The heritage can be consulted by appointment in the study room of the Heritage Center. The catalogs and archive inventories of the center can be accessed through the website of the Heritage Center for Dutch Monastic Life.
Exhibitions The Heritage Center assembles changing exhibitions from its collection. During the opening hours of the exhibition, the monastery church is also accessible. Check the website of Klooster Sint Agatha for current information on exhibitions and opening hours.
