The St. Peter's Band Church (Great Church) in Venray is a church from the 15th century. During a visit to the church, you can experience a piece of Venray's rich history.
In 1401, the construction of the St. Peter's Band Church began, and at that time it earned the nickname ‘cathedral of the Peel’ due to its size. In 1837, the church was restored, and 30 years later it was restored again. During the war, the tower was destroyed, but the collection of sculptures remained intact. In 1962, the new tower was completed and the church was fully restored again.
