The Purmerends Museum is located in the old town hall of the North Holland city of Purmerend, on the Kaasmarkt. The building was built in 1912 to a design by the Purmerend master builder Jan Stuyt to replace an older building that was demolished in 1910. In 1996, a new town hall was opened on Purmersteenweg on the site of the former City Hospital.
